Envirofreeze dry ice packs (also called ice sheets) are flat, flexible sheets containing a water-absorbent polymer. They’re stored completely dry until you’re ready to use them. To activate, soak the sheet in water and place it in the freezer. Once frozen, they function as a flexible, non-toxic cold pack that maintains therapeutic cold temperatures for 20–40 minutes.
Yes. Envirofreeze dry ice packs use a food-safe, non-toxic water-absorbent polymer with no glycol or harmful chemicals. They’re safe for use in school first aid rooms and around children of all ages, including in contact with minor skin abrasions.
Once fully frozen, Envirofreeze ice packs maintain therapeutic cold temperatures for 20–40 minutes depending on ambient temperature and application method. This is appropriate for standard RICE protocol first aid applications (20 minutes on, then remove).
Yes. Dry ice sheets can be cut with standard scissors to any size you need — useful for smaller patients, targeted applications, or fitting around specific joints.
Unactivated dry ice packs store completely dry at room temperature. Keep them in their original packaging in a cool, dry place — a cupboard, storeroom, or equipment room is fine. They have an indefinite dry shelf life.
Submerge the sheet in water for 5–10 minutes until it has absorbed water and expanded. Allow excess water to drain, then place flat in your freezer. Freeze for the standard time your freezer requires for water to freeze (typically 4–6 hours).
A 20-pack suits a small primary school for one term. A 100-pack covers a larger primary school for a term. A 350-pack is a full-year supply for most medium-sized schools. Large secondary schools with active sports programs typically order 700-packs. Contact us for specific advice on your school size.

Dry ice packs are flexible, lightweight cold packs suited to first aid, sports, and standard cold chain shipping (0°C to 4°C range). PCM gel bricks are engineered to maintain specific frozen temperatures (-15°C, -18°C, -21°C) and are used for pharmaceutical cold chain, frozen food logistics, and applications requiring precise temperature control.
We stock PCM gel bricks in three formulations: -15°C, -18°C, and -21°C. Each maintains its target temperature during the phase change process, providing consistent frozen temperature performance throughout the shipping duration.
